School Curriculum

Our curriculum for preschool through sixth grade includes the A Beka Book Christian curriculum which gives our students a solid, fact-based, foundation of knowledge that is reinforced by an integrated and thorough review system (known as a spiraling curriculum). A Beka Book is recognized as the standard of excellence in the publishing of textbooks and other scholastic materials. The A Beka Book approach to education keeps learning lively, interesting, and memorable. These materials reflect the sensible theory that is firmly anchored to practicality.

The middle and high school students will be taught using A Beka, Sonlight, Teaching Textbooks, Wordly Wise and many other reputable curriculum resources. These include a God-honoring Bible program, an integrated social studies, literature, and language arts program, a greater emphasis on writing, critical thinking, and analysis skills, project-based learning, and alternative assessments. Technology that incorporates three different modalities of learning styles as well as individual tutorials for each student is used for math instruction. In addition to these core subjects, students will have the opportunity to take skills and inventory assessments each year that will help them create career and educational goals. These assessments could assist students to build a high school and beyond plan as well as to have some choice in electives beyond fine arts and career or technical skills.

We will assist our high school students that are going into their junior or senior year who want to take advantage of the Running Start program offered by the state of Washington. We also work with families who desire to have their student(s) participate in dual-enrollment with “College in the High School” programming for college credits.
